This artistic installation entitled Tinctoria offers a reflexion on color in connection with the place, its history and its memory. Imagining the various flags that once flew around the Château de la Bâtiaz, a strategic place that controlled the passage of the Grand St-Bernard, Tinctoria invites you to travel through time.

At the heart of the project, the use of plants with tinctorial properties, all native to Valais and used in medieval times in the region. Photographed in the medieval garden of Saillon, then digitally superimposed with a work of paint inspired by it, the visual rendering reveals an image with depths and textures that are difficult to grasp.
